Volunteer Position Expectations

In order to be eligible to serve as an alumna volunteer for Delta Phi Epsilon, you must be a duly initiated member of the Sorority either as a collegian or alumna initiate member. If initiated as a collegian, you must have left your chapter as a member in “good standing,” having met all financial obligations of the chapter and International Organization. International Governing Board positions require additional position criteria for holding office. Those descriptions can be located in our International Constitution and By-laws. |
- Promise to espouse and endorse the values and ideals of the Delta Phi Epsilon Sorority
- Abide by and enforce all International Policies
- Perform the responsibilities of your assigned position
- Communicate with your team as necessesary to carry out assigned goals and objectives
- Participate in the reporting process for your position
- Travel as necessary for your assigned position
- Complete two comprehensive reports for the International Organization annually
- Nominate team members and chapters/colonies for appropriate Convention awards and recognition
- Participate in the Alumnae Dues Program by either paying the $19.17 annual dues or the $250 lifetime dues
- Make a yearly contribution to the Delta Phi Epsilon Educational Foundation
- Cooperate with your fellow volunteers and staff and maintain a good team attitude
- Grasp opportunities for personal development that are offered to you
- Voice your opinions and contribute your suggestions to improve the quality of Delta Phi Epsilon
- Attend all training sessions and conferences scheduled for your position
- Help us to make each volunteering day enjoyable and rewarding
- Provide feedback by participating in an exit interview should you terminate your volunteer relationship with Delta Phi Epsilon
- Communicate with us if you are experiencing frustrations or having difficulties managing your position, so we can help. Your satisfaction is important to us!

Volunteer Opportunities
DPhiE is a volunteer driven membership organization that functions with alumnae sisters working in teams to accomplish the strategic goals of the sisterhood as set forth by the International Governing Board through the strategic plan. Self organizing volunteer teams are focused on projects. The project teams move the strategic plan forward and in turn move Delta Phi Epsilon to become a more competitive force in the greater Greek Community. By clicking on a team that interests you, you can download a pdf file outlining the statement of work, time commitment, methods of communication or reporting and the staff liaison for each the team chosen. Once you find the team for you, please complete the volunteer interest form. A volunteer member from the Volunteer Intake Team will contact you for an interview.
