Epsilon Lambda Showcases DPhiE at Michigan Tech Keweenaw Day
Tuesday, September 29, 2009
Always striving to promote the DPhiE name on campus, the Epsilon Lambda chapter of Michigan Technological University participated in a longstanding school tradition of Keweenaw Day on September 11, 2009. K-day, as the students know it, is the University's annual student organization fair with over 100 organization booths, free food, and live entertainment. The chapter stood out proudly while displaying recent trophies and awards among unicorn and pearl decorated tables. As a bonus, Epsilon Lambda also offered a rubber duck game with candy prizes that drew in a crowd.
At the event, at least five women met the chapter and showed up the next week for formal recruitment. Most were extended bids this past weekend.
"We are always positive about our organization and what it can do for women on campus and the community," said Chapter President, Kelsey Kusibab, "K-Day gives us the opportunity to talk to people about how awesome we are."
