LGBTQ+ Allyship: From Theory to Practice

Do you consider yourself an ally to LGBTQ+ communities? Are you looking for better ways to support? After attending our Promoting LGBTQ+ Inclusivity with University of Pennsylvania LGBT Center Associate Director Malik Muhammad, we invite to join in for part 2 – LGBTQ+ Allyship: From Theory to Practice. This session will serve as a follow up to the first session providing participants with additional tangible tools to advance their LGBTQ+ allyship within their chapters and beyond. 

 

By attending this program, you will:

  • Gain a refresher on basic LGBTQ+ terminology and concepts.
  • Take a deeper look into the experiences of LGBTQ+ folks.
  • Walk away with several resources to be a better ally and advocate for LGBTQ+ communities.

 

Malik MuhammadSpeaker Bio: Malik Muhammad joins us as the Associate Director of the University of Pennsylvania’s LGBT Center. A Philadelphia native, he holds a Bachelor’s in Psychology as well a Master’s in Higher Education Counseling and Student Affairs from West Chester University of Pennsylvania. As a proud brother of the Pennsylvania Tau Chapter of Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity, former DPhiE sweetheart and bisexual man himself, Malik is excited to support our sisterhood in pushing us forward in being inclusive of our LGBTQ+ sisters and beyond!
