Have you sat down to write your resume and struggle with whether or not to include your sorority experience? Or maybe you want to include it, but you just don’t know how. Join DPhiE alumna, Rani Somers as she tells you how to best articulate your experience and transfer those skills. By the end you will have ways to edit your own resume and brag to the world that you are a DPhiE!
Participants will learn how to:
- Advocate for themselves in a professional manner using their sorority experience.
- Articulate the sorority experience on a resume/cover letter.
- Identify skills and experiences that will prepare them for life after graduation.
Facilitator Bio: Rani Somers hails from Southern Illinois and is a two-time graduate from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville, where she joined the Gamma Alpha Chapter. Rani currently serves as the Coordinator of Fraternity and Sorority Life at Wichita State University and is a former Collegiate Development Consultant for IHQ. In her spare time, she can be found bingeing true crime documentaries, snuggling with her dog or FaceTiming with her nephews.
