Delta Phi Epsilon Educational Foundation Announces New Annual Scholarship - Madeleine Claire McNulty (MCM) Scholarship


A new annual grant that supports a sister of Delta Phi Epsilon (DPhiE) sorority pursuing an undergraduate, graduate or professional degree, who has overcome a significant medical, personal or family difficulty.  Gina Curtis, Epsilon Upsilon Chapter at Humboldt State University and President of the Delta Phi Epsilon Educational Foundation made the announcement.


Scholarship Recipient Spotlight: Rebeka's Story


A few weeks ago, as I walked across the graduation stage to receive my diploma, I began to reflect on December 11th, 2011. This was the last day of my first freshman semester- at Duquesne University. That day I felt like I was destined to amount to nothing as I sat, crying, in my dad’s office. I had just received a call from the Duquesne admissions office asking me to transfer to a "less financially stressful institution" because I was couldn't afford another semester.

From the moment I stepped into Delta Phi Epsilon’s room, I knew I was home. Prior to participating in recruitment, I had been diagnosed with Phase III Thymoma Cancer and had been undergoing chemotherapy. As you can imagine, balancing the stress of college and my health was not easy. I went through recruitment looking for support and stability. That is what I found in DPhiE.
