Iris Awards

Criteria:

The following criteria will be used in selecting The Iris Awards:

    1. Individual must have displayed one of the three I’s at the time of nomination: Innovation, Inclusion and/or Integrity. These three characteristics exemplify our corporate culture.
    2. Anyone part of the DPhiE IHQ family has the opportunity to be nominated. This includes IHQ staff, interns, ILC’s, house directors, RA’s and CAB members/volunteers.
    3. Nominations must be submitted via email to DPhiE-InBox@dphie.org. You must include the following in your email submission: (1) first & last name of the person being nominated, (2) which one of the three I’s they displayed and (3) a brief description of how it was displayed. Please be mindful to use the describing words listed on the following document called “The Iris.”
      • *Please note, you may not nominate yourself for this award.
    4. Additional criteria will be used to determine worthy candidates and will focus on how much they care, taking pride in always providing the best overall experience for our members. The nominee should also exemplify the core values and standards of DPhiE.

Process:

    1. Nominations can be submitted via email at any time.
    2. The Iris committee will evaluate the nominations and select a winner each month. To ensure the process is unbiased, the names of the individuals nominated will not be visible to the voting committee; only the description as to why the person was nominated for The Iris Award will be visible to the committee.
    3. The committee will meet the second Wednesday of every month to review the nominations and select the newest Iris Award winner.
    4. The winner of each month’s Iris Award will be presented with
      • For IHQ staff, an additional ½ PTO day (four (4) hours).
      • For volunteers, choice of $50 VISA gift card or a Delta Phi Epsilon Swag.
      • Name displayed on a plaque at IHQ for one year.
      • Name and photo, if available, announced on social media.
      • Name and photo, if available, printed in the TRIAD.
    5. At the end of each calendar year, all current year winners will be entered into a random drawing. The winner will be presented with a $500 prize.
    6. The winner will be announced at the monthly meeting.

Committee:

The committee is multidisciplinary, consisting of executive-level staff members. Three committee members must be present to vote.
