“I joined DPhiE my freshman year of college. That year was super challenging for me, personally and academically, as it is for many new students adjusting to college. Rutgers-Camden can also be a difficult place to make connections because it is a heavily commuter-based campus. While I never saw myself as a sorority woman, I wanted to try something outside of my comfort zone and make meaningful friendships. Which is one of the best decisions I could’ve made.
It was never a question for me which sorority I wanted to join. Meeting the sisters of Delta Phi Epsilon and the incredible ladies I initiated with made DPhiE a safe place that felt like a home away from home. Not to mention, my sisters are genuinely some of the most supportive and inspiring women I have met - attending school, working, holding leadership positions, etc. I’m so excited for the upcoming year with my sisters and to meet all the new faces on campus. Phi Tau, I cannot thank you enough for our sisterhood.”

#WhyDPhiE—Meet Isa from our Alpha Gamma Chapter!
“Going to FIU was a hard decision knowing all my friends were leaving Miami. My sister, who had gone through recruitment the year before, encouraged me to try it, and at this point I had nothing to lose. As soon as I walked into DPhiE during recruitment, it was no shock to me as to why my sister fell in love with DPhiE, because so did I. Running home to my sister was the most wholesome and overwhelming feeling, and in that moment I knew that I had found my people. The women I talked to during recruitment made me feel comfortable, allowed me to be 100% myself, and I knew they were the kind of girls I wanted to surround myself with. I truly have met my best friends here and I don’t think my college experience would’ve been the same without the amazing sisterhood we have built together. Not only am I a part of an amazing group of girls, but I am a part of a group who have taught and supported me through so many things that have helped me grow as a person. Freshman year me would never believe how much DPhiE has pushed me to my fullest potential.
I can’t wait for a forever lifetime with my sisters, I love my Alpha Gamma 🤍.”
