Undergraduate Requirements
Undergraduate scholars who are Delta Phi Epsilon initiated members in good standing and will be enrolled as full-time students in the 2022-23 academic year will be eligible to apply for scholarships in the following fiscal year.
- Selection is based on scholastic excellence, participation and leadership roles in the chapter, and on-campus and community activities. This all of which aligns with the Founding Principles of the Delta Phi Epsilon Sorority.
- Applicants must be initiated members of the Delta Phi Epsilon Sorority in good standing academically, financially, and in-chapter membership and participation including, no Standards Board violations.
- Applicants must be initiated by; December 31, 2022.
- Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of B (the equivalent of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or higher).
- Scholarship recipients are expected to remain a member in good standing of their collegiate chapter for the duration of their scholarship.
- Applicants must be enrolled as full-time undergraduate students, as outlined by the institution the recipient is attending, during the year that the scholarship is awarded.
- Fifth-Year Member: A scholarship applicant who may graduate before the end of the school year of the scholarship term may be considered for a scholarship. In order to receive a scholarship, a fifth-year senior must agree to remain a participating member of their collegiate chapter, in good standing, until graduation and remain alumni through the term of the scholarship.
Graduate Requirements
- Graduate students who are Delta Phi Epsilon initiated members in good standing and will be enrolled as full-time students in the 2022-23 academic year will be eligible to apply for scholarships in the following fiscal year. All scholarships will be paid directly to the Institution in the Fall term. Past recipients are welcomed to apply again.
- Selection is based on scholastic excellence, participation and leadership roles in the chapter, and on campus and community activities, all of which align with the Founding Principles of the Delta Phi Epsilon Sorority.
- Applicants must be initiated members of the Delta Phi Epsilon Sorority in good standing academically, financially, and in-chapter membership and participation including, no standards board violations.
- Applicants must have been initiated by December 31, 2022.
- Applicants must have a cumulative GPA of B (the equivalent of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or higher).
- If the applicant is selected as a merit-based scholarship winner, a check will be sent directly to the Cashier/Bursar/Financial Aid office at their University to be applied towards their educational expenses. Please note for applicants applying to use funds for outside of the U.S.: All funds are dispersed in USD at the exchange rate of the day.
- Scholarship recipients are expected to be committed alumna members in good standing for the duration of their scholarship.
- Scholarship applicants who have previously submitted a scholarship application must submit a new application each year in order to be considered. A scholarship recipient who does not return to school during the scholarship term, and thus forfeits the scholarship to the next applicant, is eligible to re-apply and be considered for a scholarship the next academic year.
- Scholarship Recipient/Full-time Student Status: Award criteria for scholarships shall include full-time student status, as outlined by the institution the recipient is attending during the year that the scholarship is awarded.
- If a recipient is studying abroad during the scholarship term, appropriate inactive status in good standing must be obtained and retained.
- A scholarship applicant who may graduate before the end of the school year of the scholarship term may be considered for a scholarship. To receive a scholarship, the recipient must agree to remain an alumni member in good standing during the school year, including the following semester.
- Scholarship Revocation/Membership Status: A scholarship recipient who fails to continue to meet the criteria of their award (including resignation or expulsion of their membership in Delta Phi Epsilon), will relinquish their scholarship to the next eligible applicant as selected by the Scholarship Committee. If the scholarship has been applied by a college/university to the former member’s educational expenses, that former member will be responsible for reimbursing the full award amount to the Delta Phi Epsilon Foundation within 30 days.
