“I joined Delta Phi Epsilon the spring semester of my Freshman year, a decision i’d make again in a heartbeat.
I was the first person from my hometown to attend Rutgers University-Camden. I came here without knowing a soul and it was one intensely nerve-wracking experience, especially living on campus. I had to step out of my comfort zone like never before, and I owe most of my growth to DPhiE.
I never wanted to join a sorority due to my own bias I had formed over the years from how they are exhibited in movies, tv shows, and stereotypes. Instead I joined other organizations like the Student Nursing Association and the Cheer team. Through this I met some sisters of DPhiE. Their welcoming and authentic energy encouraged me to check out the sorority without any pressure. From then on it was history. I joined DPhiE and am now the President. The opportunities and experiences offered to me since joining have not only given me some of my best friends, but guided my own growth personally and professionally.
Going into my senior year, I am grateful for all the memories and amazing people I have met. My biggest advice is it never hurts to try something new and step out your comfort zone. You never know what will be waiting on the other side!”

“For me, DPhiE has been a never-ending blessing. Coming into college from a small town, I knew the best thing I could do was to surround myself with uplifting, kind, and genuine people. I found that and more in DPhiE. All of the older girls have become my role models. My little has quickly become my best friend. And I’ve found my bridesmaids! 🤗 Recruitment can be such an intimidating experience, but this sisterhood made it incredibly worth it. Being a part of our 4 amazing philanthropies has been so fulfilling & has become so special to me over these past two years.
